Sunrise in Capital Hill
The base for my Seattle visit shifted from the mountains of Snoqualmie to the urban vibe of Seattle's Capital Hill, a bohemian neighborhood east of downtown. After a fantastic dinner at Michael Mina's RN74, I spent the night at my friend Jack's place as we have an early tour scheduled this morning at the Boeing factory in Everett.
Woke up bright and early and went for a walk in nearby Cal Andersen Park, where I witnessed this gorgeous sunrise.

That beautiful sunrise reminds me to take my phone with me to get a picture of the beautiful sunset at the beach.

Pretty picture! Few things are more beautiful than the sunrise. Every morning, I get mad about the sunlight pouring into my room at 6 or 7 am and waking me up as it hits me right in the face, but then I wake up and look out the window and see the sun coming straight over the mountains. It still catches me off guard sometimes.
Great picture. Glad you are having a good time in Seattle. I can't wait to see the pictures of the Boeing Plant. Hope they allow you to take pictures there.

Oh, I am sure you will like the Boeing tour. I went on one many years ago, and it was impressive.

@rudyhou - yes, the Paine Field location (in Everett) does tours of the factory that produces the 747, 767, 777, and 787. Sadly, no cameras allowed!
@beowulf222 - they may have changed policies but were strict about the "no electronic devices or cameras" - a Boeing cop followed us the whole time.

I definitely didn't spend enough time in Seattle
I'll need more time to explore what it has to offer other than the Pier, Market, and Museum of Flight!

@mizz_chan - I actually thought about it, but time was pretty tight and it would have been a day trip or just overnight. I do want to take Tawn to visit YVR one of these days, though.
@paperblanks - Seattle is a neat city and worth a closer look. As for the panorama, I have a love-hate relationship with it. Sure is good to capture certain views but can be overused...
@Grannys_Place - With mountains and water all around, they have all the ingredients for gorgeous sunrisese AND sunsets, don't they? And I say "they," but you're in that area, too, right?
@christao408 - Yes I am down the freeway around 120 miles on the coast, South of Seattle and love it here.
We travel to Seattle quite often to see my husbands heart Drs up on pill hill at the VA.
